The Russian all-wheel drive SUV “Loaf” has caused a wave of laughter on social networks, with users comparing it to the van from the 1994 Hollywood comedy “Dumb and Dumber.” Photos of a car with a camouflage screen on the roof were published by Rob Lee, a senior fellow at the US Foreign Policy Research Institute.

Subscribers are actively discussing the similarity of “Loaf” to the van from the famous comedy, calling it “the evolution of a Russian car” and even suggesting that it looks “flammable.” Some users also recall a video where “Loaf” is being chased by a Ukrainian drone.
Despite online ridicule, it is worth noting that the real name of the “Loaf” is UAZ-452. This SUV got its unofficial but popular name because of its resemblance to a loaf of bread.
Interestingly, in the film “Dumb and Dumber” there is a van (Ford Econoline, 1984), which one of the main characters is trying to convert “to a dog” to develop his own business.
