Competition: FA Cup

Market: Both teams to score

Odds: 4/7 @ BetUS

Looking to extend on their FA Cup adventure at the second attempt in midweek, Norwich will make the trip to Bristol Rovers on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, while Bristol Rovers might have sprung an upset away at Carrow Road last week as they snatched a 1-1 draw, it is fair to say that the Pirates are seeking some recent stability. Knowing that they still face a real uphill battle in their bid to punch a shock play-off charge in 2024, Matt Taylor’s side have recorded just a pair of wins from their previous six appearances across all competitions. Failing to pick up any kind of momentum over the weekend as they slumped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Barnsley, Bristol Rovers will certainly be excited to make a return to home soil here. Continuing to shine at the Memorial Stadium, the former Rotherham boss has seen his squad go unbeaten in all of their last nine straight showdowns in front of their own supporters. Last seen in Bristol landing a 2-1 win against Charlton, some in Taylor’s camp could be smelling the chance to complete an FA Cup upset at the second attempt here.

As for the visitors, managing to claim a crucial boost last weekend, Norwich will be desperate to use that performance as a platform to build on. Eventually snatching a 2-1 victory away at Hull, that result drew a line under their four-match winless run. However, almost finding themselves sat in Championship limbo, David Wagner will have a continued headache over his side’s defensive issues. Forced to settle for an FA Cup replay when they welcomed Bristol Rovers to Carrow Road last week, the former Huddersfield boss has seen his squad muster just a single clean sheet from their previous nine appearances across all competitions. It should also be noted, Norwich have gained a reputation for their lively outcomes on the road. In fact, on a run that stems all the way back to August 29th, the Canaries have seen 11 of their last 13 showdowns away from Carrow Road finish with both teams getting on the scoresheet.

Bet: Both teams to score at Bristol Rovers vs Norwich 4/7 for Wednesday’s FA Cup replay @ BetUS
