The Ministry of Finance is promoting the extension of compensation for businesses to settlements within a range of 40-7 km from the border of the Gaza Strip for November only. The compensation for November will be given in full, as it was in October, and in December compensation will be given in accordance with the nationwide outline. The draft regulations include the cities of Beer Sheva, Ashdod, Ofakim and routes.
The compensation is within the framework of property tax regulations, and is given to small and medium-sized businesses to participate in their fixed expenses and part of their salary expenses.
Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich: “We succeeded in bringing in the regulations after overcoming bureaucratic obstacles and legal challenges. This is the right step for the south and for businesses in the south.”
