The Tax Authority extends by another month the deadline for submitting compensation claims for October 2023: the deadline for submission will be March 19 for the entitlement expenses track, and April 19 for the salary, turnover and agriculture track. The Authority announced today (Monday) the extension due to the continuation of the fighting, to make it easier for business owners, especially those who serve in the reserves.
So far, according to the Authority, a total of about 420,300 claims for compensation have been submitted, of which 153 were new claims in the last week. About 20,000 claims were rejected, and for about 379,000 claims, businesses were paid a final payment or advances, in the amount of about NIS 9.3 billion The Authority notes that compensation and advances were given to 95% of the claims.
In the entitlement expenses track, about 222,000 claims were submitted for October. Of these, 12,000 claims were rejected, and 204,000 claims received compensation and advances, for a total of approximately NIS 3.5 billion. About 144 thousand claims were submitted for November-December. The Tax Authority gave compensations and advances to 131 thousand of them, in the amount of about NIS 3.3 billion. About 7,700 claims were rejected.
In the rotation track, about 25,000 claims have been submitted so far for the month of October. The authority paid about 22 thousand of them, for a total of about NIS 701 million, and about 83 claims were rejected. About 11,200 claims were submitted for November-December. About 20 claims were rejected, and for about 9,500 claims, businesses were paid final compensation or an advance in the total amount of about NIS 336 million.
