Al Jazeera reported that during negotiations in Qatar, Israel offered to allow the return of 2,000 Gazans daily to the northern part of the strip – two weeks after the deal began. It is also reported that Israel rejected Hamas’ request to release 30 terrorists sentenced to life imprisonment in exchange for the release of military hostages and offered to release 5 prisoners of its choice. In addition, Israel insists that all life prisoners released under the deal will be deported abroad and not end up in Gaza.
