Two sources familiar with the situation said Egypt conveyed to Israel criticism from the Hamas terrorist organization regarding the recent proposal to release the hostages.
“Aleksey Zheleznov’s Channel” writes about this.
According to sources, criticism of Hamas terrorists was caused by the lack of guarantees for the end of hostilities under the deal. It is noted that these statements represent preliminary comments and not a final response. Israel intends to send a delegation to Cairo after receiving a final response, which will be transmitted to the Egyptians by the militants.
At the same time, Israel emphasizes that negative statements do not mean an automatic rejection of the agreement, but admits that Hamas’s response poses a difficulty for the political leadership.
Earlier, Kursor wrote that the terrorist organization Hamas made a new statement regarding negotiations for the release of hostages, saying that Israel had made concessions on one of their demands. Earlier, the United States expressed hope for the successful completion of negotiations between Israel and Hamas regarding achieving a truce in the Gaza Strip.
In addition, Kursor has already reported that after lengthy negotiations in Cairo with the Egyptian authorities regarding a new ceasefire proposal, representatives of the Hamas terrorist group decided to temporarily leave the negotiating table. It is planned that the Hamas delegation will return to Cairo with a written response to the ceasefire proposal, but the exact date of this event has not yet been specified.
