IDF Colonel Adi Ganon has taken over as commander of the Golani Brigade, replacing Colonel Yair Play, who has commanded the brigade for the past two years. Play, who will be promoted to brigadier general, will soon assume duties as commander of the HaBashan Regional Division (210). The change of command ceremony took place on the evening of April 21 at the Golani Crossing memorial in the presence of IDF Northern District Commander Uri Gordin, officers, soldiers, families of fallen brigade fighters and other invitees.
