The 213th day of the war: Sgt. Reuven Mark Mordechai Assolin, Sgt. Ido Testa and Sgt. Tal Shavit were killed by a rocket barrage from the Gaza Strip towards the settlement of Kerem Shalom. Two fighters in the 931st Battalion in Nahal and a fighter in the Shaked Battalion in Givati ​​were seriously injured. The IDF returned fire and destroyed the launchers.

The head of the CIA, Bill Burns, is expected to come to Israel this week for talks on the hostage deal – according to senior Israeli officials. Burns is expected to meet with Prime Minister Netanyahu and members of the Israeli negotiating team. Burns will arrive in Israel after talks in Egypt and Qatar.
