The countries of the region condemned the Israeli attack tonight (between Friday and Saturday) in Iran.
The Saudi Foreign Ministry was the first to condemn the attack, only two hours after IDF spokesman Daniel Hagari reported that all the planes had returned safely.
In a statement from Riyadh, it was stated that the attack constitutes a violation of sovereignty and a violation of international laws and authorities. Saudi Arabia emphasized its position opposing the continued escalation in the region and the expansion of the conflict. She called for maximum restraint on the part of all parties.
Saudi Arabia did not specifically mention Israel in the announcement. Such a wording is considered to weaken the condemnation, and Iran may resent it. For the sake of illustration – UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres was declared an undesirable personality in Israel, after the condemnation he published on Iran’s missile attack did not include the word “Iran”.
The United Arab Emirates also referred to the attack without mentioning Israel’s name. In the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi, it is stated that the Emiratis are deeply concerned about the continued escalation, and its consequences for the security and stability of the region. The Emiratis emphasized that it is important to act with maximum restraint and maximum wisdom, in order to avoid the expansion of the conflict.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman strongly condemned “Israel’s airstrike in Iran, which is a blatant violation of Iran’s sovereignty and international laws.” In Oman they called on the international community to “take effective action to stop the aggression and put an end to these blatant violations”.
Egypt and Jordan, Israel’s neighbors, also condemned the attack. The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs: “We are following with great concern the dangerous escalation situation and the Israeli attack on Iran. We condemn all measures that threaten security and stability in the region, which complicate the situation and fuel tension and escalation of the conflict. Egypt warns of the dangers of the current escalation – which could lead to a dangerous confrontation.”
Along with the condemnation of the attack by the Jordanians, a statement was published by the Jordanian army, in which it was stated that Jordanian skies were not used for the movement of Israeli planes on the way to the attack. Tonight, videos were circulated on social media purporting to show Israeli F-35 planes in the sky of the Kingdom, videos that ‘Davar’ was unable to confirm or refute their credibility.

Qatar, Pakistan, Malaysia and the terrorist organization Hamas also condemned the Israeli attack on Iran.
In France and Germany they are calling to prevent escalation
The reactions published in the Western countries did not explicitly condemn the Israeli attack, but they also called for action to prevent escalation in the Middle East.
German Chancellor Olaf Schulz: “The Israeli government informed us today that it has carried out precise and targeted attacks on Iranian military installations in response to the recent massive missile attack against Israel.
Israel made an attempt to minimize the harm to people, which creates an opportunity to avoid further escalation. My message to Iran is clear: massive escalation responses cannot go on forever. This must end now. There is an opportunity for the development of peace in the Middle East.
In addition, the chancellor called for a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon, the release of all the abductees, and the implementation of Security Council Resolution 1701 according to which Hezbollah will only operate north of Litani.”
The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs: “France received Israel’s announcement of strikes against military targets in Iran tonight, in response to the aggression of October 1st.
France calls on the parties to refrain from any escalation and action that could worsen the extreme tensions prevailing in the region.”
