The Israel Defense Forces announced the expansion of a “humanitarian zone” in southern Gaza, where the majority of the Strip’s Palestinian population is concentrated. The main humanitarian aid is now concentrated in this area and several field hospitals operate.
This zone, the size of which has changed several times during operations against the Hamas group, includes tent camps, shelters, field hospitals, as well as points with food, water, medicine and other equipment. Supplies to this zone are coordinated by COGAT and international organizations, the Israeli army noted.
“The IDF will continue to work to achieve its goals, including the elimination of Hamas and the return of all hostages,” the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement.
