Simone Biles Makes a Bold Fashion Statement at LA Premiere of Netflix Documentary
On Wednesday, October 23, record-breaking Olympic medalist Simone Biles, 27, attended the Los Angeles premiere of her Netflix documentary Simone Biles Rising: Part 2. The event marked a major milestone for the gymnast, and she celebrated by showing off her newfound style.
On the red carpet, Biles wore a daring mesh gown by Galia Lahav that left little to the imagination. The mostly black spaghetti-strapped dress featured a plunging neckline and fitted top, which turned heads with its contrasting multicolored floral designs. The dress’s bottom portion was light and airy, flowing down the floor.
The pro athlete did not go bare, however, as she wore full-coverage bottoms underneath the mesh dress, which was fully sheer at the back. To complete her look, Biles accessorized with a silver necklace with a single pendant and one bracelet on each wrist.
The transition from her signature jet-black hair to more pronounced blonde highlights added an extra touch of glamour to Biles’ overall look. This is not the first time she has experimented with color; she has also played with pastel colors.
The gymnast’s choice of makeup was bold, with a dark red lip.{%E2%80%93features that enhanced her natural beauty.
At the premiere, Biles spoke to PEOPLE about her favorite moment of her Gold Over America Tour, which features a star-studded cast, including Team USA gymnasts Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Hezly Rivera, Fred Richard, Paul Juda, and Brody Malone.
“It’s bonding with the castmates outside of the gym because what we do inside the gym is really amazing and that’s how we usually bond, but outside, going to dinners, learning everyone’s personalities has been really fun,” she shared.
Biles’ off-field life is just as exciting as her athletic one. She is married to Chicago Bears’ star Jonathan Owens and is often seen showing off her style while cheering for him at NFL games. For a recent Bears matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, Biles wore a navy blue cropped sweater with orange and white stripes, complete with the name “Bears” emblazoned across the front, as well as a white mini skirt and white knee-high boots.
In another round of style, Biles has proven to be a true fashion icon. As she continues to stun on the red carpet and on the field, fans can’t help but want more. Simone Biles Rising: Part 2 premieres on Netflix on October 25.
