The Gaza Health Department, which is under Hamas control, claims that Israel has detained the director of the Kamal Adwan hospital in the northern part of the strip, Dr. Hussam Abu Safiyah. The report said: “IDF soldiers detained dozens of hospital staff members and took them for questioning.” An earlier WHO report noted that the hospital, which it said was the last one operating in northern Gaza, had completely ceased operations following the IDF attack.
