According to Palestinians, more than 80 people were killed in the Gaza Strip in 24 hours. The IDF press service did not inform about active hostilities in the enclave.

The war with Hamas: the main thing

At about 7:00 on Saturday, October 7, the holiday of Simchat Torah, terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip launched a combined attack against Israel – terrorist infiltration from land, sea and air and massive rocket fire from the south and center, up to the Hasharon region. More than 1,200 people were brutally killed. In response, the IDF launched Operation Iron Swords (Harvot-barzel). Intelligence agencies believe that Hamas has been preparing an invasion since the beginning of 2022. It was carefully planned and thoroughly provided with weapons and intelligence information.
