This morning, in the Red Sea off the coast of the Egyptian city of El Gardk, the Sinbed tourist submarine sank. According to the Egyptian media, six bodies of dead tourists who were taken to hospitals were extracted from the water.
According to sources, nine victims were saved and urgently hospitalized. Four of them are in serious condition. The causes of the crash of the submarine are not yet clear. The submarine sank off the coast in the area of the famous resort, known for its coral reefs. On board the submarine were 44 passengers with different nationalities.
Local authorities were immediately notified of the incident, and rescue and medical services left for the place. It is known that the submarine sank not far from Marina one of the popular hotels in the city.
29 other passengers were saved in a relatively stable state.
