Likud spoke cynically about Yerushalmi’s disappearance

After the disappearance of Chief Military Prosecutor Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, a spokesman for the Likud party commented on reports of a possible threat to her life in a highly inappropriate manner.

In fact, press secretary Guy Levy used the situation to continue criticizing another representative of the judiciary – the government’s legal adviser, Gali Baharav-Miara.

“All this madness that we are now seeing is a direct consequence of the insane interference in the investigation that the legal adviser has been carrying out for more than two weeks. She did not arrest the chief military prosecutor, did not seize her mobile devices, did not take her testimony and did not even place her under protective arrest. The legal adviser should be detained and interrogated this night,” Levy said.

The statement was made before it became known that Tomer-Yerushalmi had been found alive. MK Orit Farkash-HaCohen expressed support for the Tomer-Yerushalmi family and hope for good news, while criticizing the Likud representative’s response.

In her view, such behavior reflects the depth of corruption and requires government and coalition leaders to seriously reassess their conscience after recent days of rampant bullying.

Earlier, “Kursor” wrote that the police are urgently looking for the chief military prosecutor Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi for questioning, since contact with her has been lost. The Chief of the General Staff ordered the Directorate of Operations to use all resources at the IDF’s disposal to locate her immediately.

In addition, “Cursor” has already reported that after the scandalous leak of video from the Sde-Tayman base and the subsequent resignation of the chief military prosecutor Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi, a series of new dismissals among employees of the military prosecutor’s office is expected in the IDF.
