Nearly 40 years after its founding, the Israeli rock band Eifo Hayeled (Where’s the Child) has released its seventh studio album, titled Ambulans Shirim (Ambulance of Songs).
Created over the past three years against the backdrop of the Gaza war, the album moves between personal reflection and national pain.
Alongside lead vocalist Hemi Rudner, band members Asaf Sarig and Ofir Bar-Ami also lead vocals on select tracks. The album launch is accompanied by a new love song titled “N.B.”
“Even during our country’s darkest times, friendship and brotherhood have truly shone through,” Rudner said. “We are a band that has been dreaming, writing, recording, and performing for more than four decades. We wrote songs about the war, about the beauty and the pain in this country, without filtering anything.
“As we always do, we looked sadness, anxiety, and anger straight in the eye… writing it, recording it, and turning it into rock ‘n’ roll beauty in Hebrew.”
