A Hamas-affiliated source told the Saudi newspaper La Sharq that the organization provided intermediaries with a video confirming that Israeli hostage Arbel Yehud was alive and in satisfactory condition. The video, according to the source, has already been transferred to the Israeli side. According to representatives of the group, in this way the organization wanted to demonstrate that it was “committed to the deal.”
Meanwhile, according to Israeli media, senior officials deny having received the video.
Earlier, Kursor wrote that the terrorist organization Hamas accused Israel of delaying the implementation of the terms of the agreement on a ceasefire and the release of hostages. According to Hamas representatives, the Israeli side is preventing the return of Palestinian Arabs to the northern part of the Gaza Strip, delaying the implementation of obligations under the agreements.
Under the agreement, Israel was to withdraw troops from part of the Netzarim corridor by tomorrow and open access to the coastal road for the return of residents of northern Gaza. However, the Israeli side stated that fulfillment of these obligations is possible only after the release of another hostage held by Hamas.
Hamas said that it is the Israeli authorities who are responsible for the delays and any consequences associated with violation of the deadlines for the implementation of the agreements.
Israel, in turn, continues to insist on strict compliance with the terms of the deal. Officials said that control of the strategic Netzarim corridor will be maintained until Hamas fulfills its obligations in full.
