The headquarters of the families of the abducted and missing persons will hold a protest rally this evening (Motash) at 20:00 in the square of the abductees in the plaza of the Tel Aviv Museum, to mark International Women’s Day. “Five months – unfathomable,” the headquarters’ announcement ahead of the rally reads. “134 abductees and abductees are in captivity The terrorist organization Hamas, of which 19 are women. This coming Saturday, we are all coming to the Kidnapped Square to remind that the State of Israel must not leave anyone behind!”
Yesterday families of abductees blocked Highway 1 with cages and carried signs for the release of their loved ones. “The members of the families staying there went into cages with the aim of reminding the Prime Minister, and the entire public, just before the Shabbat meal, that the abductees have been rotting in hell for 154 days,” the statement from the headquarters said. “The members of the families are calling on the public to wake up and demand from the government and its leader a deal now, and point out that if there is no deal now, we will receive them back in the closets, if at all.”
Families of abductees also demonstrated on Thursday in front of the Kirya during the cabinet meetings, calling on the policy makers to meet with them and promote a deal for the release of their loved ones.
Ella Ben Ami, the daughter of the abducted Ohad Ben Ami and Raz Ben Ami who was kidnapped and released, said at the demonstration: “We can be the ambassadors of the entire State of Israel, we need you to help us. Come out, come out and talk to us.”
