Manchester United will try to continue their excellent Premier League form on Saturday afternoon when they host Fulham at Old Trafford.
Erik ten Hag’s side are back in the Champions League qualification conversation after winning their last four league matches, the latest being a 2-1 victory at Luton Town. Fresh injury news has rocked their camp this week, however.
A promising Fulham season has turned into an underwhelming one after a poor recent run of results. Marco Silva’s Cottagers are down in 12th, nine points above the bottom three, after managing only one win from their last five league outings.

While their recent form has picked up, Man Utd were handed a large injury blow when it was revealed Luke Shaw is unlikely to play club football again in 2023/24.
Lisandro Martinez is out again following his brief return to the squad, while Tyrell Malacia remains absent as the mystery over his condition builds. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is out, making Diogo Dalot the only fit full-back in the squad, while Mason Mount and Anthony Martial are also still injured.
Manchester United predicted lineup for Fulham (4-2-3-1): Onana; Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Lindelof; Mainoo, Casemiro; Grenache, Fernandes, Rashford; Hojlund.
Key midfielder Joao Palhinha is suspended for the trip to Old Trafford having picked up his tenth league booking of the season in the defeat to Aston Villa last time out. Sasa Lukic is expected to replace the Portugal international in Fulham’s midfield.
Raul Jimenez is unlikely to return from injury in time so Rodrigo Muniz should lead the line again, although on-loan striker Armando Broja is an option for manager Silva should he wish to make a change.
Fulham predicted lineup vs Man Utd (4-2-3-1): Leno; Castagne, Diop, Ream, Robinson; Lukic, Cairney; De Cordova-Reid, Pereira, Willian; Muniz.
It’s no secret the returns of Lisandro Martinez and Luke Shaw from injury were big factors in Man Utd’s upturn in form and there could be some teething issues without the English left-back when Fulham visit.
However, plenty of other Red Devils players have started to put in better performances of late.
Rasmus Hojlund suddenly can’t stop scoring, while the likes of Marcus Rashford, Bruno Fernandes and Alejandro Garnacho also look very confident. This Fulham side are solid, but the game should end with a fairly comfortable victory for the home side.
