Inter and Milan: 200 million to buy San Siro. Official communication by November
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The imminent sale of San Siro, the iconic stadium shared by Inter and AC Milan, has taken a significant step forward, with the two clubs expected to purchase the plot of land and property for a staggering 200 million euros by November. The article revealed that the clubs have reached an agreement with the local authorities to acquire the land and facilities, with the current structure of the stadium to be maintained, rather than demolished and rebuilt.

According to sources, the figure of 175-200 million euros, before taxes, will be used to purchase the entire San Siro area, including the current stadium and surrounding land. This acquisition is seen as a vital step in the clubs’ plans to relocate to a new stadium in the near future.

However, not all parties involved are pleased with the proposed price, with representatives of AC Milan reportedly finding the figure to be too high. Inter Milan, on the other hand, is willing to invest in the property, but only if the price is negotiated down.

Despite the ongoing negotiations, the 200 million euro figure is seen as a significant milestone in the long history of San Siro, which has been the home of both Inter and AC Milan since 1926. The new owners are planning to maintain the existing structure and, pending approval, start construction on the new stadium, with an estimated completion date of 2026.

As the news continues to spread, the fate of the beloved stadium and the future of Italian football is at the forefront of everyone’s minds. The decision is likely to have far-reaching consequences, not only for the clubs but also for the city of Milan and the surrounding community. As the world waits with bated breath, only time will tell what the future holds for San Siro and the iconic stadium that it has become.
