Mitre Unveils New FA Cup Ball Designs, Embracing Fan Culture and Women’s Football
British football brand Mitre has launched two new ball designs for the upcoming Emirates FA Cup and Adobe Women’s FA Cup tournaments. The 2024/25 FA Cup ball features a red and silver design inspired by the fan culture that fuels some of the nation’s most exciting tournaments. This throwback design includes bold, chevrons that cut through the center, reminiscent of Mitre’s most iconic products.
“Inspired by the homemade tin foil trophies often made by fans, our new FA Cup ball design is a nod to the vibrant and passionate football communities that drive the beautiful game,” a Mitre spokesperson said.
The Women’s FA Cup, on the other hand, boasts a bold, bold colorway that reflects the creativity and flair of some of the world’s top female players. This new, Ultimax Pro ball is designed to stand out on the pitch, paying homage to the rich history of women’s football, while adding a modern twist to a beloved design.
Both the men’s and women’s balls are designed to excel on the pitch, with the latest technology employed to ensure improved in-flight dynamics and reduced drag. The Ultimax Pro range is available in a tier-up progression, including match, training, and play mini balls to cater to players of all abilities.
This year, fans can expect to see the new FA Cup ball in action, as well as the Ultimax Pro balls for the women’s competition, starting with the upcoming season. With a focus on both fan culture and women’s football, Mitre aims to create an exciting and visually striking addition to the beautiful game.
