The GHF GHF humanitarian aid, has launched a new system that will allow the residents of the sector to order humanitarian packages in advance, in accordance with the number of family members, in an attempt to prevent tickling in distribution centers. “Our plan has always been to stabilize the availability of food,” said the Director General of the Foundation John Acry.
The system was launched on August 17 in the Saud quarter in Rafiah, but in the coming weeks it will gradually expand to other areas and cities where GHF operates. Until now, as explained in the fund, the distribution of assistance gave an advantage to young and healthy men who could quickly get to the distribution centers, while women, children, elderly and people with disabilities were often waiting in lines in vain. The pilot project was attended by 350 residents of Gaza, who created an online profile with the necessary data, such as the number of family members, so that they could “reserve” a packet of assistance until it receives it.
How will it work?
In the coming weeks, GHF employees will visit the distribution centers and explain to the recipients how they can join the pilot project. Participants who agree will photograph, and they will receive a map with a photograph and a unique number in exchange. This card will be used to receive pre -ordered packages.
The system will work on the basis of online profiles where the relevant data will be entered. After filling them, the number of packages will be determined by the number of residents in the family, and the packages will be “fixed” for each participant in the program in certain days. Thus, each participant will receive the time to receive in advance, without the need to compete with others for help. At the same time, the help will also continue to be distributed “in the usual queue” for everyone else.
The fund emphasized that all the data entered into the online profiles will be stored in security and will not be transferred to third parties. The system also allows the fund to directly contact families about the distribution schedule, special supplies and urgent updates.
“It has always been our plan,” Acri said, “to offer families to order help in advance and guarantee safe access, as other organizations do it. So far, the conditions on the ground have interfered with the implementation of the plan, but now that supplies of gas assistance have increased, this helps to stabilize accessibility and the conditions are improving. This is real progress. It shows that the GHF model is committed to the president of Trump to innovation, to make it possible to invite you to innovation. To deliver more help directly to those who need it. “
Recall that the UN repeatedly criticized the GHF Foundation for unproductive work and actually accused the leadership of the fund and Israel of creating hunger in the Gaza sector.
