A group of Palestinians attacked the 29-year-old Israeli in the center of the Greek capital of Athena and severely beat him. As it became known on Sunday, September 14, the young man received damage and injury.
According to local media reports, three Palestinians took part in the beating. In addition to the injured tourist, a young Israeli woman was also involved in the incident.
According to Greece Police, all five – two Israelis and three Palestinians aged 25 to 27 – were taken to a police station.
During the search, plastic sticks were seized from the Palestinians, two of which Palestinian flags were attached.
Athens police continues the investigation of the incident. The official statement says: “On Sintagma Square, opposite the memorial to an unknown soldier, an incident with the participation of five foreigners took place. Two Israeli citizens – a woman and a man – came into conflict with three Palestinians aged 27, 26 and 25 years.”

In recent months, a series of anti -Semitic attacks on Israeli tourists has been recorded around the world. This is not the first such case in Athens.
