Violent confrontation after evacuation of outpost in Gush Etzion

A 22-year-old Jew was attacked (Friday) with an iron bar near Metzad in Gush Etzion.

MDA medics and paramedics provided him with medical treatment at the scene, and he is fully conscious with a minor head injury.

A security source noted that this was not a terrorist attack and that according to him, a vehicle carrying 20 Israeli civil administration contractor workers who had finished demolishing an outpost was attacked by dozens of Jews who were happy about the demolition of the outpost.

A violent confrontation developed at the scene, during which one of the contractor workers attacked one of the Jews who attacked him.
