Netanyahu and his loyalists want to erase October 7 from Israelis’ memory

On Tuesday night, Israel’s mainstream television channels simultaneously aired the same program, a rarity on Israeli screens. Channels 11, 12 and 13 all broadcast a ceremony commemorating the October 7, 2023 massacre, organized by a group of bereaved families who had lost their loved ones on that day, without the involvement of and against the wishes of the government.
