Israeli soldiers accused of abusing Palestinian detainee ask court to drop charges

Lawyers for five soldiers charged with severely abusing a Palestinian at the Sde Teiman detention center during the war asked the Beit Lid military court on Thursday to drop the charges against them, amid allegations of obstruction of justice in the case by former Military Advocate General Yifat Tomer-Yerushalmi. She was detained and then released to house arrest before being hospitalized this week for a suspected drug overdose.
