Justice minister, lacking authority, blocks attorney general from probing IDF’s top lawyer



Justice Minister Yariv Levin announced on Tuesday that Israel’s State Ombudsman for Judges, Asher Kula, has agreed to handle the investigation into the former IDF chief legal officer instead of the Attorney General. This is even though the minister does not have the authority to determine that Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara is disqualified from handling the case.
