That’s why the highly acclaimed Black Metallica Symphony Tribute show will be bringing its roar to Tel Aviv for the first time next month, on May 28 at the Charles Bronfman Auditorium in Tel Aviv.
This Serbian-based project is considered one of Europe’s leading tribute shows, blending Metallica’s iconic hard rock with a full symphonic ensemble.
The result is a powerful live performance that preserves Metallica’s original energy while adding new musical depth through bold orchestral arrangements – not to mention a front man who’s a dead ringer for Metallica’s singer-guitarist James Hetfield.
All of the legendary band’s big songs, from “Enter Sandman,” “The Unforgiven,” “One,” and “Master of Puppets,” to “Nothing Else Matters,” and “Fade to Black,” will be represented in full rock and orchestral arrangements.
Describing a show in Belgrade earlier this month, a reviewer called it “a perfect geometry of sound.”
“Watching and hearing a symphony orchestra build the sound architecture around the raw energy of heavy metal was mesmerizing,” the reviewer said.
Of course, the real Metallica band has also performed in Israel, at Park Hayarkon in 1993 and at Ramat Gan Stadium in 2010.
Until it returns, when peace comes to the region at some undisclosed time, the Black Metallica Symphony Tribute will do quite nicely in its place.
