Kibbutz Nahal Oz said that two kites from the Gaza Strip had landed inside the community over the past two weeks, as residents return to their homes near the Gaza border, according to a Saturday report from KAN News.
One resident told KAN that one kite was found in the fields around the kibbutz, and another was found within the perimeter of the kibbutz.
There were reportedly no writing or explosives attached to the kites, but the residents believe that the kites could have come from nowhere else.
“The IDF told us they are checking the incidents, but we are very concerned, and that is why we are warning about it, to make sure we do not return to the security situation of October 6,” the resident told KAN.
The kibbutz said the incidents raised concern among residents who fear that Israel’s security has not changed sufficiently since the October 7 massacre, the public broadcaster noted.
“For the residents of Nahal Oz, this is a serious incident that illustrates that the security reality has not changed enough,” the kibbutz said in a statement.
“We in Nahal Oz are determined to build the future of our children here, but we are warning that community resilience is not a blank check.”

N12 reported that Hamas is significantly recovering its capabilities under the cover of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas terrorists are accelerating the recruitment of new terrorists and taking control of goods entering the Gaza Strip, N12 said.
Security officials have warned that without fully disarming and demilitarizing the terror group, the situation in the Gaza Strip will return to “square one,” as it was before the October 7 massacre.
