Al-Hayya's son seriously injured in Gaza, military says 'no interest in targeting him' – report

Azzam al-Hayya, son of Hamas leader Khalil al-Haya, was seriously injured in an IDF strike in Gaza, Saudi news network Al Jazeera reported on Wednesday.

A senior military source told Maariv that Azzam al-Hayya’s “death is of no interest to us, and if he was harmed, it was because he was somewhere he should not have been. If he was harmed, it did not happen because of his family ties, because he truly is not a figure of particular interest to us.”

According to the reports, Hayya was not targeted for being part of Hamas’s Nukhba terrorists, but for being nearby one of the terrorists eliminated during an IDF strike on Gaza’s Daraj Tuffah area.

This is a developing story.
