Dozens of Palestinians breach IDF checkpoints to enter Jenin refugee camp

Some 20 Palestinians successfully breached military checkpoints to enter the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, the IDF said on Saturday afternoon.

IDF sources said dozens broke through barricades set up by the Israeli military in the Palestinian city surrounding the refugee camp, designated as a closed military zone by the IDF.

At least 10 Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces operating in the area, sources said, while an official IDF statement noted most of the suspects have been apprehended.

The incident is ongoing, sources stressed, adding that forces are using drones to monitor and locate more suspects inside the refugee camp.

This is a developing story.
