Four Men Stabbed in Central London, Woman Arrested

London – Four men were injured in a stabbing attack on Wednesday in the busy district of Covent Garden, in the heart of London. A 47-year-old woman was arrested by the Metropolitan Police as part of the investigation.

The incident occurred shortly after 12:30 p.m. (local time) on Endell Street, near Covent Garden. Alerted by several emergency calls, police officers and paramedics quickly responded to the scene, where the four victims—all men aged between 34 and 52—received initial medical treatment before being rushed to a major trauma center. At this stage, authorities have not released details regarding the severity of their injuries.

The 47-year-old suspect was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault and possession of an offensive weapon. According to initial details provided by the Metropolitan Police, a pair of scissors was recovered at the scene. Investigators also indicated that the incident may be linked to a mental health issue, while emphasizing that inquiries are ongoing.

The large-scale emergency response, which included several ambulances and the London Air Ambulance, led to the establishment of a cordon in this heavily frequented tourist area. Police officers remained at the scene to carry out forensic examinations and gather witness statements.

Authorities have not yet provided any indication regarding the motive behind the attack or the medical condition of the victims. The investigation is ongoing.
