Surreal in Ligue 2: Troyes fans protest with smoke bombs, the players throw them back towards the stands!

Troyes-Valenciennes, a delicate Ligue 2 match due to the locals’ position in the table, was interrupted a few minutes from the end due to disturbances on the pitch. The result was 1-1, a draw which, combined with Dukerque’s victory, would have resulted in relegation to the third division.

The Troyes fans protested by throwing smoke bombs onto the pitch, and the players, perhaps to avoid a forfeit defeat, responded by throwing them back towards the stands. The race was suspended and initially restarted, only to then be definitively interrupted.

THANK YOU CITY – Demonstrating that all that glitters is not gold, Troyes, still formally the owner of the Girona star Savinho’s card, is owned by the City Group, a galaxy whose flagship is Manchester City. But the empire’s resources risk not being enough to ward off the fear of double relegation in two years. The fans bitterly chanted “Merci City”, thank you City.
