Inter, Oaktree ready for revolution: three managers are about to leave and Roma tempts Antonello

A real corporate earthquake is about to strike Inter. The American fund Oaktree has concluded its period of “soft” entry into the management of the club and is ready to put a heavy hand on the structure that has been in place for years, with Zhang at the helm. According to Tuttosport, there are many men who could soon say goodbye, and among them, there are very prominent faces who have contributed to bringing the Nerazzurri club back to the top in Italy and Europe.

At the center of the storm is Alessandro Antonello, managing director of the administrative area, who is rumored to be on the verge of departure. He will be leaving alongside Luca Danovaro, Chief Marketing Officer of the Club and his trusted right-hand man. The communication area will also see a change, with Matteo Pedinotti, head of the sector, likely to be departing, albeit not immediately. His figure has long been closely linked to ex-president Steven Zhang.

Antonello’s future is currently shrouded in uncertainty, with Roma reportedly interested in his services. There have been rumors of contact between the two parties, and his presence in Rome yesterday morning was not surprising, given the Champions League match in Bern had just concluded and he did not return to Milan.

The reasons for this rupture are primarily linked to two issues: the stadium and the ultras. Oaktree wants a turning point, which will quickly lead to both the creation of a new stadium and a clean break from the negative publicity surrounding the “Double Curve” investigation. It is no coincidence that Oaktree men supported Antonello in meetings on the stadium project and chose to have lawyer Cappellini supported by a criminal lawyer. However, the relationships developed with institutions by Antonello could allow him to still maintain a chance of remaining in Inter’s management.
