The extensive disruptions on the train continue: The Tel Aviv rail traffic will be stopped for six days from tomorrow, Wednesday 20 August, until Tuesday after August 26, the Israel Railways said Tuesday. This is in light of the forthwood and Friday malfunction, which caused damage to the train electricity infrastructure and led to a series of transport disruptions across the country.
During the six days, a train will not be allowed between the north and the south of the city, and the Tel Aviv Peace Station, one of the four train stations in Tel Aviv, will be temporarily closed to the service. Trains south will reach Lod, and will not enter Tel Aviv; Trains from Jerusalem and Intelligence will reach the Ben Gurion Airport, nor will they enter Tel Aviv;
On the train, free Shatti will operate within Tel Aviv: “A dedicated and special bus line between the Tel Aviv Stations, the Peace and the Savidor Center, at the frequency of every five minutes.”
Israel Railways announced that the current disruptions are related to “essential safety workers who were originally planned for September,” to “take the opportunity” of the current disruptions and prevent further harm to the train movement for several weeks. The safety work “are expected to allow the service to be rejected gradually starting Tuesday 26.8.25, first from the south and later from the north,” it said.
Yesterday, an outdoor committee announced a failure to test the failure of the last few days. This is due to an initial examination of an internal committee on behalf of the train, which found that the failure is related to a cargo cargo transport without its tying as required.
