For those close to her, the appeal is not only about medical bills but also about time. They describe a mother fighting to remain present for her two sons, ages 7 and 11, while her family struggles to shoulder costs far beyond what a single salary can support.
Campaign materials identify the drug as Tagrisso and say additional injections are also required as part of treatment. Organizers say the combined expense reaches about NIS 90,000 for two months, a figure they say the family cannot manage on its own.
Supporters say Ilyenko’s condition has worsened in recent months, making continued treatment even more urgent. The medical claims in the campaign were not independently verified, but organizers say the funding gap has left the family in immediate need.
