Over 200 kilograms of drugs were discovered hidden in a plant nursery in Hod Hasharon on Tuesday after an undercover operation carried out by the Kfar Saba Police’s Special Crime Unit exposed a large-scale drug trafficking network.
Officers raided the nursery and discovered a concealed warehouse serving as a distribution center for the network.
During the search, police seized a massive quantity of marijuana and hashish, totaling over 200 kilograms.
A significant portion of the drugs had been hidden inside various food products, including chocolate bars, cookies, and candy, all packaged and prepared for immediate distribution.
During the operation, four suspects, residents of central Israel, were arrested. Police brought them before the court, which granted a request based on the findings of the investigation to extend the detention of the suspects until Monday.
In late June, police in Haifa similarly confiscated seven kilograms of cannabis products during a raid on an apartment suspected to have been used for drug production and distribution.
Both raids were part of law enforcement efforts to crack down on drug trafficking and distribution networks across Israel.
