From friendship to friction: Inside the growing tensions between Trump and Starmer

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer and US President Donald Trump appear increasingly at odds over the war in Iran.

Sir Keir has said he is “not going to yield” to pressure from the US president to join the conflict in Iran, which comes after Trump told Sky News that when the US asked the UK for help “they were not there”. Trump also suggested the tariff agreement with the UK, which was reached last year, can “always be changed”.

BBC’s Sarah Smith examines how the Iran war has led to discrepancies between the US president and UK prime minister.
