Bassett Medical Center Opens Hybrid Cardiac OR In Cooperstown, N.Y.

Integrated health system Bassett Healthcare Network in Cooperstown, N.Y., opened a new hybrid cardiac operating room (OR) at Bassett Medical Center, its acute care, inpatient teaching facility in Cooperstown.

The 1,000-square-foot project, which aims to expand rapid care for patients with cardiac emergencies, includes a complete cardiac catheterization lab.

The space also will be used for transcarotid artery revascularization, a minimally invasive procedure that can clear blockages and open a narrowed carotid artery.
