The Italian doctor and nurse, defiantly thrown into the garbage basket of the medicine of the Israeli company “Teva”, were in the center of a loud scandal. They counted on mass support of the anti -Israeli action, and received many angry responses. Their behavior was called incompatible with the profession of a medic. In the end, the authors of the scandalous video – Dr. Rita Sangetini and the nurse Julia Kakache – were forced to publish the clarification: “We apologize to everyone who touched our video. In fact, we did not throw away the medicine. It was a symbolic action in support of the world.”
Sangettini and Kakache work in the clinic of the town of Pramtovecko-Stia in Tuscany. The official investigation of their tricks is not completed. It is not known what exactly they threw away – empty packaging or suitable medicines. It is also unclear who belonged to the medication – to the doctor and the nurse or the public health system. However, the fact of holding a “protest action” in a public clinic caused a storm of protests. Doctors were accused of “the destruction of drugs saving their lives.”
Dr. Sangethini has the status of a self-employed doctor. She works with a clinic under a contract. The nurse is also not listed in the staff of the healthcare system. Its employer is a hiring company providing services to medical institutions. However, these subtleties do not matter to users of social networks who sharply condemned the behavior of Rita and Julia. “They sit at workplaces in white robes, have fun and throw medications,” says one of the comments. “This is a public property, medical materials, and they destroy drugs for likes in social networks.”
“This is a national shame,” wrote the user of the X. “They need to be dismissed for such a trick immediately. This is what happens when fanaticism displaces morality. The one who throws the medicine is not worthy of being a physician.” Another user wished the doctor and the nurse “never need the developments of Israeli pharmacists saving their lives.”
The scandal reached the parliament. Deputy Deborah Bergamini, Deputy Chairman of the Italia, Chairman, called the behavior of Sangettini and Kakache “a manifestation of fanaticism, involved in ideological activism.” She added: “We expect a public health system will conduct a proper investigation and take the most severe measures.”
The South-East Tuscany’s health department reported that it began to clarify the circumstances of the incident with drugs and reserves the right to protect the reputation of conscientious employees. At the same time, the administration recognized that shooting at the workplace was carried out without the permission of the administration.
Having published a new video – with an apology – Dr. Sangetini said that she has no evidence that will allow you to deny the intentional destruction of drugs. She also argued that for the filming carried out during the time, not medications from the service pharmacy were used, but free food additive samples sent by Teva.
In conclusion – something about the company “Teva”. It was founded by a repatriate from Germany by Gunther Friedlander in the Palestine Palestine in 1935, many of its drugs were developed by Israeli experts, but the company has long become international and 80 enterprises in different countries – including Italy. The medicines (or additives) thrown into the garbage basket were most likely produced outside Israel.
In 2024, the total value of the company’s assets was estimated at $ 39.64 billion, and its annual income amounted to $ 1.64 billion.
