The IDF is currently striking Hezbollah infrastructure sites in southern and eastern Lebanon, the military said on Monday.
Targets include terrorist infrastructure in the Beqaa Valley and other areas in the country’s South, the IDF said.
In addition, IDF soldiers in southern Lebanon came under attack from an explosive Hezbollah drone on Monday.
According to the military, the drone detonated near the soldiers but did not cause any injuries.
The strikes come after the military announced it had located Hezbollah weapons inside a child’s bedroom during a raid in the Aadshit al-Qusayr area.
The weapons discovered included various explosives, rifles, grenades, RPGs, machine guns, munitions, and other combat equipment.
Hezbollah “cynically exploits the civilian population in Lebanon in order to execute terror attacks against Israeli civilians and IDF troops,” the military said.
Hezbollah launched an explosive drone towards troops operating south of the Forward Defense Line on Sunday, the IDF said on Monday.
The military noted that the drone was intercepted, adding that it will “continue to operate against threats directed at Israeli civilians and IDF soldiers, in accordance with directives from the political echelon.”
In addition, the IAF struck three terrorists in southern Lebanon on Sunday after they approached troops south of the Forward Defense Line, the IDF said on Monday.
Several other Hezbollah targets were eliminated in the strike, including the terror group’s Bint Jbeil headquarters.
