Ice Spice Stars in Spicy Wendy’s Ad Following McDonald’s Scuffle: Watch

“I heard Wendy’s upgraded their OG spicy chicken sandwich,” she says in the clip. “New spicy?!”

The 26-year-old drops her Ice Spice moniker to become “Ice Spicy,” and she’s got an icy chain to match the new alias. The “Deli” rapper even got some fresh ink to commemorate the branding makeover, while the thumping production of her “Thootie” single provides the soundtrack.

“New upgraded spicy chicken, only at Wendy’s,” she continues to close the clip. “Spice recognize spice.”

Members of the “Spice Cabinet” seemed to approve of the partnership. “The collab we needed, now you see how McDonald’s don’t got anybody? Wendy’s is the best to ever do it,” one fan wrote to X.

Last month, Ice Spice had some fun with her viral altercation at McDonald’s, which saw her joke that “this wouldn’t happen at Wendy’s” on X.

The Bronx rapper was involved in a physical confrontation in mid-April at a Hollywood McDonald’s when she was slapped in an “unprovoked attack” without security present, according to her attorney Bradford Cohen.

Footage of the incident, which was first posted by TMZ on April 17, found Ice Spice and a friend being approached by a patron and the situation escalated after Ice rejected her advances. The rapper was then slapped and a melee broke out, which continued outside the restaurant.

Ice ended up getting into a separate argument with a male patron outside, which got physical and ended up with the rapper on the ground.

Ice Spice’s attorney told Billboard that they will be looking to “hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions.”

“The unprovoked attack on my client has been reported to the LAPD and we will be pursuing any and all criminal and civil avenues to hold the perpetrators responsible for their actions,” Cohen stated. “We are also exploring holding the location responsible for their apparent lack of appropriate security.”

Spice’s attorney continued: “Not to mention that the individuals involved obviously did not realize that we would get the video from inside the McDonald’s where the unprovoked attack occurred. They then turned their cameras on after the initial attack as if to set our client up, and as they say on the video to ‘go viral.’ The only thing that will be going viral for them is their mugshots.”
