IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir gave an operation update to senior command staff on Monday, the military said, noting that Israel remains in a “multi-theater campaign.”
“We have established forward defense areas at the front for our communities in all sectors,” said Zamir. “We must remain in these areas until the security of our communities is ensured.”
Zamir further discussed the issue of female IDF recruits, saying there will be “no gender exclusion” in the military.
“Women are an integral part of the IDF and its operational strength,” said Zamir, adding that their integration “is a value, equality, and an operational necessity that must be done impartially.”
