After two years of dodging deals, Netanyahu allies claim he had a plan all along



Even by the normal dizzying pace of events in the Middle East, the effort to end the war in Gaza and bring home the hostages is quite exceptional by any standard: Exactly two weeks after U.S. President Donald Trump, standing alongside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in the White House revealed his plan, all the living hostages and most of those not among the living will return to Israel. The IDF has already pulled back its forces in the Gaza Strip, and the end of the war – so it seems – has reached the point of no return.
