Firefighters are working to extinguish a fire that broke out at Rishon Lezion’s Golden Mall, Israel’s Fire and Rescue Authority confirmed on Tuesday.
Two people have been rescued from the fire so far and transferred to medical services for treatment. They had light injuries, the Fire and Rescue Authority announced.
The remaining people in the building have been instructed to remain in place and are not considered in danger.
The Fire and Rescue Authority stated the forces had been called to the scene and found smoke and flames emerging from the building.
Rescue forces and firefighters on the scene are working to extinguish the flames, search for any other people trapped in the building, and prevent the fire from spreading to nearby businesses.
