Brussels – The Emirati airline
Emirates has confirmed its status as the global leader in international air travel in 2025. Based in Dubai, the airline carried 55.6 million passengers this year, solidifying its position as the largest international airline in the world.
The airline operated nearly 180,600 flights to over 150 destinations across six continents, benefiting from a strong rebound in global demand for international travel.
Alongside its operational achievements, Emirates earned 25 international awards in 2025. Among the most prestigious were the Best International Airline award from the Forbes Travel Guide Verified Air Travel Awards and the Best Long-Haul Airline title at the Times and Sunday Times Travel Awards. The airline was also honored at the World Travel Awards, receiving the distinction of World’s Best Airline Brand.
Emirates attributes these results to its ongoing investments in fleet modernization, passenger experience enhancements, cabin refurbishments of its Airbus A380 and Boeing 777 aircraft, as well as the expansion of its international network.
Thanks to these achievements, Emirates strengthens Dubai’s role as one of the world’s leading aviation hubs and cements its place among the key players in international aviation.
